Bicycle Services:
All bicycle services are based on a pre-scheduled service system, you will have to email me, or text me (texting is probably the best method and quickest method for me to respond back to you), or you can call me to schedule your bicycle's appointment.
Your bicycle appointment will be determined and set up; upon me calling/texting/emailing you back... and setting up your bicycle's service appointment.
No "walk in" repairs will be accepted. (You always have to contact to me via text, call or email.)
I do offer free estimates, I can look at your bicycle, and see what your bicycle needs.
All bicycle estimates are done while you wait with your bicycle, as I go over your bicycle with you there... this way you will know just what exactly your bicycles needs to be safe and reliable. This way you know exactly what your bicycle needs, and what my labor rate will be.
I offer 20% off of my labor rates for all senior citizens who are 55 yrs old and older.
I understand that living on a fixed income when you are retired in today's world can be hardship with our cost of living being so high.
Everyone should be able to ride a safe and reliable bicycle, so I keep my labor rates competitive to the local shops near by.
I do not stock a lot of parts.
My focus is mainly bicycle service, and the labor part.
I do not want to stock too many parts because there are way too many parts and variables of parts for all of the different bicycles out there.
I do however stock some generic parts on hand... which are; some tubes (various tube sizes), some cables / housing, along with some v-brake and cantilever brake pads,
grips, the basics to keep bicycles going.
Safety Tune: $40 Labor
A safety tune consists of adjusting your bicycle's front and rear derailleurs, if they need to be adjusted.
I will adjust your front and rear brakes, if they need to be adjusted.
I will adjust your headset, if it needs to be adjusted.
I will go over the bicycle's bolts and secure any loose bolts. (Pedals to cranks, crank arm bolts, stem bolts, saddle bolt, etc.)
I will inspect your bicycle, and let you know what on your bicycle needs to be replaced.
Basic Tune-up: $75 Labor
A basic tune-up consists of me cleaning your frame and wheels in addition to adjusting your bicycle's front and rear derailleurs, if they need to be adjusted.
I will adjust your front and rear brakes, if they need to be adjusted.
I will adjust your headset, if it needs to be adjusted.
I will go over the bicycle's bolts and secure any loose bolts. (Pedals to cranks, crank arm bolts, stem bolts, saddle bolt, etc.)
I will minor true your front and rear wheels.
I will lube your cables and housing, lube your derailleur's pivot points, and lube your chain.
I will also top off the air in your bicycle's tubes to the tire's recommended air pressure.
Things I do NOT work on or do:
I do not work on any electric bicycles, and I do not work on electric shifters/derailleurs.
I do not over haul shocks, nor do I work on shocks. (I have no desire to do that, nor do I have the specialty tools to do that... so do not ask. I'm just being up front with you on that.)
I do not work on or bleed hydraulic brakes or any kind. I do not have the bleed kits for doing that service, nor do I want to invest in them. (I only work on cable/mechanical brakes.)
I do not over haul coaster brake hubs. (I do not have a desire to do that either.)
Bench and Tool Rental:
If you want to wrench on your own bicycle, and you do not have the proper tools; I do offer a bench and tool rental service.
This is also on an appointment basis only.
I will charge you $30 cash per hour to use my work bench along with my tools, and my repair stand... with a $15 minimum charge if it is less an hour.
Hourly rate is $30 cash per hour... with a maximum of 3 hours.
(Just like renting a work bench station at a bicycle co-op.) No other local garage bicycle mechanics who do bicycle repairs, or bicycle shops offer this service to my knowledge.
You must bring your own parts that you are wanting to install. (I do not stock parts.)
I will hang out with you while you work on your bicycle, to make sure that my tools are not abused, or taken, and incase you might need any mechanical advise.

Build a boxed Complete Road Bike*: $150 per bicycle
*These are prebuilt new bicycles from a manufacturer that require to assembled.
(Prices for assembling a bike bought from retailers typically cover labor, parts inspection, and basic setup. The labor prices vary due assembly complexity, bike type, and whether components must be installed or tuned on-site.)

Loaner Bicycle:
I understand that some people may use their bicycle as their only means transportation, and if I'm working on your bicycle; I realize that your mode of transportation is unavailable.
I only have ONE loaner bicycle. If that loaner bicycle is available to loan out; I can loan out the loaner bicycle to you... while I'm working on your bicycle.
It is a generic mtn bike, I will also provide a bicycle lock for it... that you MUST USE to prevent it from being stolen.
The loaner bicycle will include a saddle bag on it, which will contain a spare tube, a patch kit, 2 tire levers, and a mini frame pump attached to the bicycle frame.
(If you have to use the spare tube, you will be charged for a replacement tube.) I am providing those items, because I do realize sometimes flats can occur beyond a rider's
circumstances, and that way you are not stranded due to a flat.
NOTE:
The loaner bicycle is a $250 (cash only) deposit.
You ARE responsible for whatever damage you occur to that bicycle while it is in your possession.
You ARE responsible for the bicycle to NOT get stolen while it is in your possession.
And if you break something on that bicycle while it is in your possession, I will charge you for the new replacement part(s) I need to install on that bicycle to fix it, as well as I will also
charge the labor rate to fix and install that part(s).
Most bicycle shops locally that I know of; do not offer a loaner bicycle while your bicycle is getting fixed.
Some bicycle shops will "rent" you a rental bicycle.
I got the idea of a loaner bicycle from when people's vehicles are in the auto shop, and some auto repair shops will offer a "loaner car" to people.
This is going to be a test program service.
If the loaner bicycle is NOT abused by people who use, and if the loaner bicycle is not expensive to maintain, I will keep offering the loaner bicycle.
If the loaner bicycle gets abused, or stolen... then the loaner bicycle will NOT be available, and this service will not be offered.
Dirty Bicycle Wash Service: $40 Labor and up
Is your bicycle filthy and neglected from years of sitting the shed, garage, storage, or perhaps in an old barn?
Does it need to be cleaned off?
Depending on exactly how dirty it is, I can perform a bicycle wash service.
(This dirty bicycle wash service will clean off your bicycle's frame, wheels, but it is not a full on drivetrain cleaning.)
It will only consist of getting the dust, dirt, and cob webs off of your bicycle frame and rims. Ya know all that nasty heebie-jeebie stuff ya don't want on your bicycle.
Additional Cleaning materials fee is $5 to 15 cash (For rags, degreaser) Depending on just how nasty and dirty your bicycle is.
Than you will also need another service to get your bicycle back into riding shape, like a Safety Check or a Basic Tune-up... I can determine which service will suit your bicycle's
needs after I look it over as a free estimate for you before washing it.
The other recommended service; will get your chain re-lubed, tires aired up to the correct pressure, and so forth.
Because now that your bicycle is all cleaned off, you will want it to be safe and reliable to ride.
Drivetrain Cleaning: $50 Labor
It has been proven that a regular drivetrain cleaning extends component life by up to 50%, improves shifting efficiency, and reduces wear on the chain, cassette,
and chainrings.
Clean drivetrains should be maintained every 100–500 miles (or after muddy/wet rides )
Additional Cleaning materials fee is $10 to 20 cash (For rags, degreaser, re-lube)
After I clean your drivetrain, I will re-lube the chain, and the derailleur's pivot point as part of this service.
